BROOKLYN - The NYPD has announced the arrest of a suspect in the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old boy in Brownsville last week.

Jahiem Spruill has been charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon for his alleged shooting of Iquan Williams at 1856 Prospect Place on Jan. 4.

The murder of Williams sparked immediate outrage in the community as the teen's parents joined with advocate Tony Herbert last Sunday to call for the shooter to turn himself in.

Williams' younger brother says the alleged gunman bragged on Facebook about how he was planning to shoot up the party that his brother was attending.
