BROOKLYN - Jason Collins stepped onto the court at the Barclays Center in his first home game with the Brooklyn Nets Monday.

Collins is the first openly gay player in the NBA, and he's quickly becoming the most popular in terms of jersey sales. He's proudly representing No. 98 in tribute to a gay boy named Matt Shepard who was killed in a brutal hate crime in 1998.

Collins has already played away games with the Nets since signing a 10-day contract, but fans were excited to finally see him in Brooklyn.
