BROOKLYN - The Brookyn Nets will be losing one of their biggest names.

Jay-Z is selling his stake in the team so that he can become certified as a player agent, possibly before the end of this season.

A person with knowledge of the details says the rap mogul owns less than 1 percent of the Nets, but he had a major impact on the franchise's move to his home borough.
