Jewelry designer's bag with $10K worth of material stolen

BROOKLYN - A jewelry designer says her backpack with about $10,000 worth of precious metals was stolen from a Brooklyn subway stop yesterday.

Anna Donahue says she accidentally left her backpack on a bench at the subway stop near the Brooklyn Museum. Donahue called the station and was told the backpack was still there. When she went to get the backpack, it was gone.

Police say the theft constitutes as grand larceny. They are investigating the incident.
