Jewish women gather in BK for leadership conference

BROOKLYN - Some 2,000 Jewish women have gathered in Crown Heights for the 23rd annual Women's Leadership Conference.

Women from the Chabad-Lubavitch movement are attending the five-day event, which runs through Monday. Organizers say attendees will discuss how they can enrich their communities.

The wintry weather put a damper on some women's plans to attend, organizers say. One woman said it took her 21 hours to make it, but said the leadership tools she was gaining made the trip worthwhile.
