BROOKLYN - Police have arrested a man accused of carjacking a 63-year-old man's car and then fatally striking him with the vehicle on Monday.

They say 24-year-old Joshua Colon stole an idling flatbed truck from Phil Dellegrazie in front of his Sunset Park business, A&D Ironworks.

Witnesses say Dellegrazie got into another car and chased Colon, finally catching up to him on Fourth Avenue. They say that when Dellegrazie confronted Colon, he ran him over.

Dellegrazie, a father of three, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

Colon fled the scene, but police later arrested him. He has been charged with murder, robbery and grand larceny.

Police say Colon has 30 prior arrests -- the most recent was on March 18 for grand larceny.

Dellegrazie immigrated from Italy when he was 18 years old, according to his daughter, Marie Dellegrazie.

Family members say they plan to reopen Dellegrazie's shop to continue his legacy.
