BROOKLYN - A judge has ordered a review of the Atlantic Yards project.

Wednesday's ruling states that the Empire State Development Corporation didn't conduct a thorough environmental study when it gave Developer Bruce Ratner the green light for the project. Ratner plans to build an arena for the Nets basketball team. The site will also be home to retail space and housing.

The Environmental State Development Corp. maintains it complied with all laws. The new arena is expected to open next year.
