Jury renders guilty verdict in murder of BK grandmother

(09/29/10) BROOKLYN - A jury today convicted Abdul Mattocks in the death of a Brooklyn grandmother.

Mattocks was convicted of manslaughter in the fatal stabbing of Vicki Griffen.

The verdict comes after the jury voted several times, but was unable to come to a unanimous decision. Notes jurors sent to the judge said they were bickering with one another and the fighting delayed their decision.

Mattocks faces up to 15 years in prison and is set to be sentenced on Oct. 27.
