BROOKLYN - The case of alleged judicial corruption was handed to the jury for decision Tuesday at the New York state Supreme Court in Brooklyn. Divorce court judge Gerald Garson is accused of accepting money, cigars and other favors from an attorney in the court. It took the prosecution five years to bring the case to trial. If convicted, Garson faces jail time. The defense admits Judge Garson violated judicial conduct rules but did nothing illegal.
