BROOKLYN - The teenager accused of fatally shooting a Brooklyn man aboard an MTA bus appeared in court Friday.

Police say 14-year-old Kahton Anderson opened fire on a B15 bus in Bed-Stuy, hitting 39-year-old Angel Rojas in the back of the head. It happened at around 6 p.m. on March 20 near Marcus Garvey Boulevard and Lafayette Avenue.

Rojas, a father of two, was rushed to Woodhull Hospital and pronounced dead. Investigators say he was not the teen's intended target.

Rojas' wife Maria Lopez said she made sure to attend the proceedings to show support for her husband.

Anderson has been charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
