BROOKLYN - The teenager accused of causing a small explosion at a Brooklyn subway station last week is reportedly the son of an MTA worker.

According to the New York Post, the mother of 16-year-old Keyshawn Brown is a subway train conductor.

Police say Brown tossed a metal MTA sign onto the tracks at the Nostrand Avenue stop in Bed-Stuy. He's accused of videotaping what happened as a train pulled into the station and struck the object.

The newspaper also reports that Brown is allegedly a member of an underground gang called the Rail Fan Conquerors.
