BROOKLYN - Some kids and teens in Prospect Park spent Sunday's warm weather outdoors giving back to the community.

The Prospect Park Alliance has launched a new series of weekend volunteer opportunities geared toward encouraging Brooklyn's youth to pitch in.

The Junior Volunteer Corps did some spring cleaning in the park by helping to lay mulch and rake.

There will be more events each weekend for the rest of the month.
