BROOKLYN - While many Red Hook residents spent Sunday shoveling out their vehicles, kids were out enjoying the snow.

At Hillside Park in DUMBO, people were decked out in their winter gear and taking to the slopes on their sleds.

Many of the kids at the park were racing on their sleds to see who could go down the fastest.

Officials say main roads are clear and crews are working to clear the remaining streets.

They say the travel ban helped crews remove much of the snow on primary roads. That ban has now been lifted.

Most MTA above-ground rail service has resumed with at least limited operations after being suspended Saturday. Underground subway lines were not affected by the storm.
