BEDFORD-STUYVESANT - Police are trying to track down the man who robbed a woman in front of a group of children Monday afternoon in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

Investigators released surveillance video that shows the suspect following a 39-year-old woman and eight children in her care into an elevator at 1711 Fulton St.

Police say the suspect pretended to have a gun and robbed the woman of her possessions and jewelry. He then was able to flee the scene on a bicycle.

Neighbors say the victim works inside the apartment building’s day care center.

No arrests have been made.
