The 143rd Kings County Memorial Day parade took place in Bay Ridge this morning with the borough?s district attorney, Charles Hynes, leading the way as

BAY RIDGE - The 143rd Kings County Memorial Day parade took place in Bay Ridge this morning with the borough?s district attorney, Charles Hynes, leading the way as Grand Marshal.

The parade traveled along 3rd Avenue and ended on 101st Street. Residents lined the streets to honor soldiers and U.S. veterans who have served our country.

Marchers included members of the United War Veterans of Brooklyn.

A ceremony was held in John Paul Jones Park following the parade, which included a wreath laying and a 21-gun salute to soldiers.
