FLATBUSH - Six students from a Brooklyn karate school have been invited to represent America in the World Karate Confederation's championships in Australia and they're now raising money so they can go together as a team.

The athletes from the Kokoro Karate and Fitness Center in Brooklyn say they're reaching out to local politicians to help them set up a non-profit organization so they can raise money for their trip.

The tournament takes place in May.
