'L' train service suspended for cable repairs

BROOKLYN - The Metropolitan Transportation Authority has partially suspended the "L" train service between Brooklyn and Manhattan this weekend due to scheduled cable repairs.Free shuttle buses moving along the "L" line allow commuters to transfer to the "J," "M" and "G" trains. The MTA is also keeping the "M" trains running throughout the weekend.This afternoon, the "L" trains started running again, but the service will be suspended tomorrow through 5 a.m. Monday.The "L" line from the Myrtle-Wyckoff station to Rockaway Parkway should be running regularly.
