(08/11/10) BROOKLYN - A famous Brooklyn pizzeria could be facing eviction.

The landlord of the building will ask a judge on Friday to throw out Grimaldi?s. A lawyer for the landlord says owners of the eatery owe $60,000 in rent and taxes.

According to the landlord's lawyer, a deal was reached that Grimaldi's would have paid the bills by Aug. 1 or it would be evicted. He says that date has come and gone and the bills still haven't been paid.

An attorney for the owner, Frank Ciolli, says he offered money for lawyer?s fees and a security deposit, but the landlord refused to accept it. The manager of Grimaldi's says she doesn't know why the owner hasn't paid the bills, but that the money is all there and she doesn't believe the restaurant will be evicted.
