NEW YORK - It's the last day to register to vote if you're planning on heading to the polls on Primary Day.
Voters will narrow down the crowded field of candidates running for New York City mayor during the primaries on Sept. 10. Two candidates will then go up against each other in the general election on Nov. 5.
According to the latest polls, public advocate Bill de Blasio is the Democratic front runner for the first time in this campaign, while Joe Lhota is the current favorite for Republicans.

The campaign has been making headlines for months, particularly on the Democratic side with Anthony Weiner's latest sexting scandals taking the spotlight. He had briefly led the polls, but is now hanging on to fourth place.
Christine Quinn is in second and Bill Thompson rounds out the top three.
