BROOKLYN - A new bill could get borough potholes fixed in less than a week.

City Councilman James Vacca (D-Bronx) plans to introduce legislation that forces the city to tighten the 30-day period it has to fill a pothole.

The Department of Transportation says it has filled 279,587 potholes this calendar year and plans to increase its workforce by 10 percent next year.
