SUNSET PARK - Tenants dealing with hundreds of violations at a few buildings in Brooklyn say they have recruited the help of lawmakers to demand changes.

Lawmakers are calling on Seryl LLC to either fix the nearly 700 violations at its 51 apartments immediately or sell the properties to a new owner.

Problems accrued by tenants include backed-up pipes and electricity shutting off on hot days, leaving people without air conditioning.

Tenants have dealt with the foreclosure of their buildings and selling to a mortgage holding company since News 12 began following this story almost a year ago.

Seryl LLC has not yet responded to News 12's requests for comment.
