Lawsuit filed against Mets in man's death

BROOKLYN - A Brooklyn family has filed a lawsuit against the New York Mets.

The lawsuit alleges that a 36-year-old member of the family died last year at Shea Stadium - the team's former park - because an escalator he was using was too steep and the railing too low.

The lawsuit filed in Queens Supreme Court also names the city and two elevator companies.
