Lawyer: Maid allegedly attacked by IMF boss is traumatized

NEW YORK - The lawyer for the Bronx maid who claims the head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Dominique Strauss-Kahn, sexually assaulted her says the woman is traumatized by the whole ordeal.

Jeff Shapiro, who represents the victim, says she's an immigrant from Guinea and a mother a 15-year-old girl. Shapiro says his client hasn't been able to return home or to work and that since the attack she has gone through extraordinary trauma.

Meanwhile, a law enforcement official says Strauss-Kahn was placed under suicide watch at Rikers Island. The official says he was placed on suicide watch after a mental health evaluation.
