Leasing program launched to help small businesses in Bed-Stuy

BEDFORD?STUYVESANT - The Department of Small Business Services is working closely with the Bed-Stuy Business Improvement District to focus on the needs of the community and attract new retailers.

The Department of Small Business Services launched a leasing program to help fill vacancies on the Fulton Street strip.

The program aims to revitalize the area by giving it a vibrant mix of businesses that will serve the needs of the people that live there.

The Department of Small Business Services says consumer demand exceeds supply in the neighborhood by nearly $800 million each year.
