BROOKLYN - A Brooklyn artist is cashing in on fantasy sports by putting a unique spin on participating from the sidelines.

Dave Mitri took his passion for fantasy football and launched the company Fantasy Trophies while in art school in the early 90s. He now crafts a variety of bronze statues, such as the coveted armchair quarterback award, which pokes fun at fantasy sports fanatics.

Mitri says that this is his busiest season with the fantasy football draft just getting under way. He sends out up to 10 shipments a day all over the country.

The trophies don't stop at football. Mitri has crafted statues for baseball, basketball, hockey and Nascar.
