WILLIAMSBURG - A community-supported agriculture group based in Williamsburg has been honored by the city for its work in connecting residents with local growers.

Local Roots NYC lets it members join for a season rather than a year, making it easier for single people and those with small families to participate. Members are then provided with a weekly delivery of locally grown produce and other goods.

The founder of Local Roots NYC says the program has grown every year since it was started in 2011.
