Local Russians worried, fearful after Moscow airport blast

THE BRONX - Local Russians were devastated when they heard an explosion killed 31 and wounded more than 100 people at Moscow's Domodedovo Airport yesterday.

Hosts at the Russian radio station Davidzon say they attempted to call the country several times during the blast. They were able to speak to a shopkeeper who witnessed the bombings.

"She was right there and there was a big explosion and her ears, she couldn't hear anything and she could see people dead in like 5 minutes on the floor, " said show host Vitaly Tsybenko. "She's just thankful to God she wasn't near the explosion."

Russian authorities have called the blast a terrorist attack.
