COBBLE HILL - Ambulance service resumed today at Long Island College Hospital (LICH).

Hospital administrators at SUNY Downstate said that starting this afternoon, non-critical ambulance services have also returned.

In June, SUNY Downstate and the state Department of Health barred ambulances at LICH.

Administrators said that LICH is still not a full-service care hospital because of the limited physicians available.
