BROOKLYN - Long Island College Hospital is on the road to recovery thanks to several grants.

Governor Andrew Cuomo is goign ahead with plans to provide $62 million in grants to the medical center. The plan will allow the hospital to merge with SUNY Downstate Medical Center.

The decision comes after the hospital let go of nearly 300 employees and sold several buildings.
