BROOKLYN - Family, friends and neighbors remembered a 16-year-old girl from Ocean Hill on the one-year anniversary of her death.

Loved ones held a candlelight vigil and released pink balloons in honor of Kyanna Thomas Tuesday night. The young teen was fatally stabbed at the corner of McDougal Street and Saratoga Avenue last September.

Rashad Salaam, 22, has been charged with her murder.
