BROOKLYN - State Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul is leading a state delegation to Puerto Rico as it struggles with a financial crisis.
The trip comes after Gov. Andrew Cuomo traveled to Puerto Rico last month to offer New York's assistance as the island deals with billions of dollars in public debt.
Much of the debt is related to its Medicaid and Medicare programs.
Gov. Cuomo says the challenges facing Puerto Rico's public health system are similar to those New York dealt with in the past.
