BROOKLYN - Luna Park, the new Coney Island amusement park, has exceeded expectations for summer business.

Luna Park opened on Memorial Day weekend. Businesses owners in the area say they have seen a 10 percent increase in revenue during summer months.

The city spent $96.5 million on the land for the park and operator Alberto Zamperla says he spent $30 million on rides.
