M.S. 278 students back following fire

BROOKLYN - Students at M.S. 278 are back in school after the building was shut down for the day due to a small fire that erupted on the roof of the building just as students were arriving yesterday morning.

School officials say plywood caught fire near a construction site on the roof of the Marine Park building.

There were no injuries in the fire. Students were taken home by parents or transported by buses to nearby M.S. 207 for the day.
