BROOKLYN - The man accused of pushing an NYPD officer to his death in Boerum Hill appeared in court for a pretrial hearing today.

George Villanueva has been charged with murder after police say he pushed officer Alan Schaberger over a railing during a domestic violence arrest in September 2011.

Villanueva faces life behind bars if convicted.
