Man accused of stabbing death surrenders to police

BROOKLYN - The man accused of stabbing a victim who who set off a chain of events that led to the death of a 13-year-old bystander has surrendered to police.

According to police, Kenneth Risher, 51, turned himself in on Wednesday.

Police say Lewis was attempting to drive to a hospital after being stabbed by Rishner when he struck four parked cars and flipped his SUV onto 13-year-old Kira Goddard, who was standing near her home.

Goddard died as a result of her injuries. Lewis also later died at the hospital from his stab wounds.

Police charged Rishner with murder and criminal possession of a weapon in the death of Lewis.
