BROOKLYN - Police say a man broke into a Brooklyn diner and stole $10,000 from two safes.

The incident happened Monday at Champs Diner on Meserole Street around 1:30 a.m.

Police say the suspect broke into the building through a side door of the restaurant and stole four iPads, a Galaxy tablet, an Amazon Fire Kindle, and two safes, which contained $10,000.

Surveillance video of the suspect has been released by investigators.
