Man falls, get stuck in 80th Avenue sinkhole

BROOKLYN - A Brooklyn resident out on a walk was injured after he fell into and got stuck in a sinkhole on 80th Avenue.

The victim, John Romano, was walking with his wheelchair-bound friend when Romano tripped and got his leg stuck in the sinkhole. The friend, Walter Sampieri, fell out of his wheelchair.

Fire officials had to cut the hole around the victim?s leg to get him out. Neighbors say the sinkhole has been there for weeks.
