Man fatally hit by MTA bus

BOROUGH PARK - A deadly bus accident killed a young man Saturday night in Brooklyn at the corner of Clara and 36th streets when an out-of-service MTA bus hit the man near a bus stop.

Witnesses say the bus driver didn't see the man, who they say was talking on a cell phone. Authorities haven't determined how fast the bus was going on 36th Street.

The windshield was dented in, and the man was caught in the rear wheel of the bus. He was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police haven't released the man's name.
