Man struck, killed by truck in hit-and-run at Atlantic Avenue and Williams Place

Authorities are searching for the driver in a fatal hit-and-run that happened Friday afternoon. Police say an unidentified man was struck at around 3 p.m.

The victim was taken to Brookdale Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

BROOKLYN - Authorities are searching for the driver in a fatal hit-and-run that happened Friday afternoon.

Police say an unidentified man was struck at around 3 p.m. while walking alongside a parked truck at Atlantic Avenue and Williams Place. They say the truck hit the victim, who was walking near the driver's side door, as it pulled out from its parking spot. The vehicle then left the scene.

The man was taken to Brookdale Hospital where he was pronounced dead. 

Investigators describe the truck as a three-axle flatbed, with a dark-colored cab.
