BROOKLYN - A pedestrian was struck and killed on Eastern Parkway early this morning.

Officials say that when they arrived, they found a 51-year-old man unconscious and unresponsive on the ground. He was later pronounced dead upon arrival at Brookdale Hospital. They say it occurred at around 2:30 a.m.

Police say the man was crossing Eastern Parkway when he was struck by a black four-door sedan. The car then fled the scene before police arrived.

No arrests have been made so far.
