Man under arrest after shooting at cops

BROOKLYN - A man is under arrest today after he shot at police officers in Red Hook. Police say that officers responded to a call of a suspicious man in the neighborhood. When they arrived at the scene, they saw that the man had a gun. The officers chased the 20-year-old as he fled toward the Red Hook houses and entered 21 Mill St. Police say he fired one shot at the officers. They did not return fire, and nobody was injured. Police have recovered the man's fully loaded semi-automatic handgun from the scene. Charges against the suspect are pending.
