BROOKLYN - Police are on the hunt for a man who they say brutally assaulted a teenage girl for her jewelry.

According to investigators, the 16-year-old victim was punched in the face several times last Sunday at the Church Avenue station on the Q and B line in Prospect Park South. The suspect then yanked a gold chain from her neck and took off.

The man was caught on surveillance video, and is described as an African-American in his 30s.
