BROOKLYN - Cops are asking for help finding the man behind a violent attempted robbery in Bay Ridge.

Police released a picture of the suspect, who they say punched a 16-year-old in the face on Ovington Avenue last month.

The man allegedly demanded the teen's cellphone, but fled empty-handed when the victim refused to give it up.

Anyone with information is asked to come forward.
