Manholes catch fire along Bedford Ave.

BROOKLYN - Several manholes caught fire last night along Bedford Avenue.Neighbors say they saw smoke, heard an explosion and then witnessed multiple manhole fires right outside their homes last night at about 11 p.m.Investigators say one or two underground transformers likely exploded, causing the fire. They say one happened to be underneath a car, igniting the gas tank.Some people on the street lost power after the incident, but it has since been restored.Officials say no one was injured in the fires.
