BROOKLYN - Survivors and supporters made their way across the Brooklyn Bridge today to raise awareness about domestic violence.

It marked the third annual Mother's Day walk across the bridge, and it was hosted by the nonprofit group Milgros Day Worldwide.

Among the participants was Brooklyn resident Brendaliz Alicia, who says her best friend lost her life in a case of domestic violence. Alicia says she wishes she could've done more to help her friend, and that's why she was out to help spread the word today.

The walk ended with a gathering in Camden Plaza.
