BROOKLYN - A fatal stabbing took place at the corner of Lewis Avenue and Hart Street in Bed-Stuy early Saturday morning.

Authorities say they responded to a 911 call of a person stabbed at around 1 a.m. Officers arrived at the scene to find Marcus Cherry, 37, stabbed twice in the back.

Cherry was transported to Woodhull Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police have not yet made any arrests.
