BROOKLYN - The woman behind the wheel of an SUV that crashed while carrying her husband on its roof has been charged with murder.
The two-car collision happened Sunday afternoon at Jamaica Avenue and Crescent Street in Cypress Hills.
According to investigators, 51-year-old Maria Espinosa, of Queens, was driving a speeding Ford Explorer with 34-year-old Matthew Soria clinging to the hood. They say the car made a U-turn, smashing into another vehicle and pinning Soria in between.

NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly confirmed that Espinosa and Soria were married. He says the accident started as a domestic dispute about money.
Two passengers in the second car were taken to Brookdale Hospital with minor injuries.
In addition to murder, Espinosa is also charged with manslaughter and assault.
