BROOKLYN - Police are in Canarsie investigating the second deadly pedestrian-involved accident in Brooklyn in two days.

According to authorities, Marise Clerveau, 41, was struck by an SUV on Foster Avenue, near Ralph Avenue, early Monday morning. She was pronounced dead at Brookdale Hospital.

The driver stayed on the scene and told News 12 that the victim had been crossing the street against the light. He says he tried to stop, but wasn't able to in time.

There's no word yet on whether any charges will be filed.
