Markowitz delivers State of the Borough address

BROOKLYN - Borough President Marty Markowitz laid out his plans for Brooklyn in his State of the Borough address tonight.

Markowitz said that while bike lanes will not replace mass transit, he supports them with the hope of reducing pollution.

The borough president also talked about bringing more jobs to Brooklyn in 2011 with the addition of corporations like Whole Foods, Apple and Panasonic.
