BROOKLYN - Customers at a Brooklyn Heights Italian restaurant got a big surprise Friday night when Marty Markowitz helped serve up dishes.
The former Brooklyn borough president served customers as guest maitre d' Friday night at Noodle Pudding.
Markowitz was at the restaurant on behalf of NYC and Company. He is the new vice president responsible for promoting outer borough tourism.
Markowitz greeted diners and educated them on all the local attractions.
The appearance was just a one-day gig for Markowitz. It is the first of four planned appearances Markowitz will make around the city on behalf of NYC & Company.
